Our teams compete at the highest competition level in the State, being the Tasmanian State-wide League (TSL), where we field a senior team and also a Development League team.

We also field a team in the Southern Tasmania Junior Football League (STJFL) Under 18 competition. Each year several of our Under 18’s also participate in the Tasmania Devils AFL development program, competing at a national level in the AFL NAB league.

NHFC has won 28 senior men’s premierships and has provided 58 players to AFL (formerly VFL) competitions.

Jye Menzie is the most recent North Hobart player to be drafted to the AFL, joining Essendon FC in 2022.

Our teams compete in the Southern Football League Womens’ competition, in Divisions 1 and 2 respectively, and which comprise over 60 players.

NHFC division 1 women were Premiers in season 2022.
Claire Ransom was our NHFC’s first AFLW player, drafted to the Gold Coast Suns in 2022.

We are aligned with the 3 junior football clubs listed below, as part of the NHFC development zone*. These clubs conduct junior football for both boys and girls and conduct AFL Auskick as an entry-level program for young children.

NHFC conducts an academy-based program for aspiring youth players during pre-season and in-season, while senior players lead development clinics at junior training sessions across the zone during the season.
